The Girl in My Camera Roll

I was deleting old photos at 2 AM when I noticed something weird.

There was a selfie of me sleeping.

I live alone.

At first, I thought maybe I'd accidentally taken it somehow. But the angle was wrong. The photo had clearly been taken from the foot of my bed.

I checked the date.

Tonight. 1:47 AM.

My stomach dropped.

I kept scrolling.

There were five more photos. Each one taken a few minutes apart.

In every picture, a girl with long black hair was standing beside my bed.

And in each photo, she was getting closer.

The last picture was taken at 1:59 AM.

She was leaning over me.

Smiling.

I immediately turned on every light in my apartment. I checked the closet, under the bed, everywhere.

Nothing.

Then my phone buzzed.

New photo saved.

I opened it.

It was a picture of me sitting on my bed, staring at my phone.

Taken from directly behind me.
